The diesel deal between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has virtually had no effect on reducing diesel prices in the United States. On the contrary, the price has risen slightly.
According to the American Automobile Association, the average price of a gallon of diesel fuel in the US reached $6.35 on October 28, compared to $6.28 per gallon when Trump announced the deal on October 9.
It is worth noting that last week, a tanker carrying over 300,000 barrels of Russian diesel fuel left the port of Primorsk. Initially, the ship reported that it was heading to New York, but later changed its destination to "for orders". This indicates that the confirmed port of final discharge is missing.
