Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will travel to the US this week to attend a meeting with his counterparts from the G20 countries.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that Lavrov will lead the Russian delegation in the negotiations, which will take place on October 30-31 in Atlanta.
She reported that Moscow will use this meeting to "promote Russian ideas aimed at strengthening the foundations of a multipolar world."
Bloomberg writes that Lavrov, who is under international sanctions due to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, has become the latest Kremlin representative to visit the US amid renewed contacts between Washington and Moscow.
