The number of people killed after a Russian airstrike on the village of Kamyshevakha in the Zaporozhye region has risen to 53.

On November 2, Russian troops attacked a school building where civilians had gathered for humanitarian aid. According to Ukrainian authorities, subsequent strikes hit a shelter where civilians and rescuers were located.

Among the dead are rescue service employees and a military medic who arrived to help the victims.

As of November 6, the search and rescue operation is ongoing. The final number of victims is still unknown.
